Metropolitan Charities in Saint Petersburg, FL is hiring for a Compliance & Accreditation Specialist. Primary Tasks/Responsibilities: Assists in the development and implementation of compliance programs for the organization to include FQHC compliance. Assists in the monitoring of business activities for compliance with applicable rules and regulations to include HIPAA, Accreditations, and FQHC standards. Assists in the systematic reviews of the various departments' HIPAA compliance, FQHC, and Accreditation status. Assist with identification, implementation, and maintenance of practice privacy policies Assists in all accreditation, FQHC standards and regulatory activities, including surveys, survey preparation, and readiness assessments. Assists in conducting ongoing performance analysis to identify clinical outcome and other improvement opportunities, coaches/educates providers and management and supports teams/task forces to ensure successful outcomes of projects. Assists with Facility Self-Assessment and Process Improvement Monitoring activities Assists in developing comprehensive HIPAA, accreditation and FQHC work plans by establishing deliverables, accountabilities, and timelines. Assists in the development, implementation and measurement of complex cross-functional performance assessment and improvement projects/initiatives for licensure and accreditation. Assists in the implementation of HIPAA, Quality, and Accreditation process changes with various clinical, administrative, and support departments. Assists in compliance, HIPPA, FQHC, Accreditation training and annual policy rollout practice-wide procedures as well as OSHA policies and procedures Ensures that a company's operations adhere to the laws regulating and accreditation standards for the particular industry. Ensures operating manuals and procedural documents stay current when regulations change. Ensures continuous regulatory compliance for licensed/accredited facilities. Ensures P&P’s are current, evidenced-based and meet current standards Participates in site visit preparation and execution by regulatory and accreditation agencies Participates in the organization’s on-going readiness and is responsible for the communication, implementation and tracking of action plans necessary to close identified gaps in care or compliance with HIPAA, accreditation and FQHC standards Supports the process for compliance reporting to include reporting to accreditation bodies and regulatory bodies. Supports the implementation of the quality reporting infrastructure Education/Professional: Bachelor's degree. Minimum of 1-year experience in healthcare and/or HIPAA compliance Experience in accreditation and FQHC preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Demonstrates knowledge of OSHA rules, regulations and mandates to ensure compliance. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques, be a self-starter, work effectively, organized and perform multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to apply principals of health promotion and disease prevention. Ability to read, understand, follow and enforce safety procedures. Demonstrates the ability to self-motivate. Demonstrates courtesy, compassion and respect in all interpersonal relationships with patients, staff and visitors. Maintains professional manner in all aspects of job tasks. Requirements: Must possess and maintain valid Florida driver’s license and proof of insurance Must have reliable and accessible auto vehicle.
